I trust everyone at home is doing well and that spring is beautiful. The colors here are changing from white sand dues to sandy dunes to light green sand dunes. Yes there is green over hear by the River Waddies.
I have been instructed by Colonel Richards (aka baby cakes) to fly this wonderful T-shirt which I believe is the Standard flown by the Wine and Hotdog crew. The T-shirt itself flew down to Camp Bastion which is the British base where Prince Harry spent his time as an Apache Pilot. He left about a month ago so I could not have him sign the shirt but it is of note that it visited them. Their Tower and Approach control always makes me feel safe when I hear British people talking to my aircraft guiding me in through active fire ranges and into one of the largest airbases here in theater.
The T-shirt was witness to 2 rockets being fired from our aircraft and 10 rounds of 30mm that flight. My rocket shots were ok; I probably should have put down my Nature Valley Nut Bar while firing. It’s like driving with coffee but different I guess.
